I will be running my 8th scale buggy at DD, but this weekend I have a a show at the rodeo, so I will only be able to race a few heats.

After this Saturdays race we are going to be racing on Sundays, every two weeks...Get ready!!!

Did I just hear that Desert Downs will be racing on Sundays? Well folks that takes me out of it totally. I've already paid for my booth too. Sunday's are my family days, so count me out from here on out.

What happened to off Saturday's? I realize Hal's is running the on road thing, but the last email I received from Hal's did show that many people there. I'll double check, but I'd be at the Downs if you raced on Sat. Why not at least have two days of racing? Those who'd like to run on Sat, and leave Sunday open for racing as well. I'll take whatever I can get.

Also can you tell me the official start times for Desert Downs this sat?

Sundays for me are reserved for riding dirtbikes!

Hey guys some guys from Cruces were planning on coming down to run Short course 2wd and 4x4 this Saturday. Can we do a roll call to make sure it's worth the trip for them

Efren and I will both be there, I will be leaving early though because of that performance I have. Either way I will be there to run both my 2x4 and 4x4 SCT and 8th scale buggy.

Gates open at 9am. Practice from 9-10. Registration from 10-1030. Racing starts at 1030. I don't think a transponder is a must, but they have the system, so it makes things much easier. You don't have to have a booth if you don't want one, you can set up your pit just about anywhere. The booths are great if you're planning on racing every weekend or so, but they are not a must; unless of course you just want one. Talk to Brian. I don't want to post phone numbers here, but that is one person you can talk with.

Sorry I haven't been on here...trying to put together our April 14th event...and trying to get some work done...Booths are $50 a year...not covered though...bring a tarp if you want shade...you can call me at 915-345-0406...my name is Bryan...The next race will be a week from Saturday...March 10th...We will have hot dogs, nachos, chips, snacks, drinks...and we will be getting the point series together...I'm thinking we can start that March 24th...April 14th is going to be a huge event at the track, we will probably have in the neighborhood of 150 to 250 people there, not including drivers...Race is $25 for the first car, $15 for the second and $5 for each additional after that...The pay outs will be 1st thru 3rd at 20% of the income from that class...So if that class has $250 in entries we will pay back $50 in cash prizes...We will also have door prizes a raffle 50/50 tickets and so on...Bring everything you can drive that day...Parking will be tight that day so make sure you are thru the gates by 10:45am as they will be closed for other events we will be holding that day...This event goes to support the Trans Mountain Optimist Club and Desert Downs Raceway Racers.

You do know that April 14th is the final points race at Hal's don't you? This race on the 14th is the last points race for the series we were running, and Hal's will be giving out trophies and prizes etc. Most of the racers will be there as far as I know. I thought you were trying to avoid running your track on the same days as Hal's? Anyhow, I know we spoke on the phone about entertainment for this date, but I didn't realize that April 14th was a Hal's race. I hope this was a minor oversight, or maybe I've misunderstood something, but is this in fact the date you are Planning to have a race; April 14th? Clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Gino I know Bryan doesn't get on here much but from what he told me the event is an annual fundraiser for the Optimist club and they are very firm on the date. You may want to call him.

Ok thanks. I'll contact him. I was trying to help him out with some entertainment, but if it's April 14th I'll be at Hal's.

I tried talking to Charlie about moving the final points series race but it was a no go...This event has been in place since November and can not be changed. Sorry for the inconvenience but my hands are tied. We will be giving cash prizes, shirts and many door prizes. If we can work something out with Hal's that would be great!!!

hey all , just when you thought it couldn't happen it did.
Corbyn has finally whipped his 4 year struggle and is ready to start racing again.
Thanks to everyone that has been there to help him and support him!!

He practiced at desert downs raceway this weekend and was able to stay out for a couple of hours each day.

I hope to see all of our old friends there and at Bobby's new track soon.

Sorry I couldn't make it out Sat. I just needed a break. I've been racing non-stop for about 5 months and my cars need some extra TLC. So, hopefully I'll see you guys next time.
