State Finals

I posted this up on RCCrawler, thought I would bring it over here too.

Just talked with Jorge (Teamvaldezhobbies) and Little Moab is going to be the comp site. Due to the heat we all need to be out there by 8:00am. I am including a map to the location and area hotels.

Directions:

A is University and I-25
B is where you need to turn off to the left ( if you have a small car there is a parking area 500 ft west of B
C is parking
D is the actual comp site

It will be Hot, so bring plenty of water

Last comp will be in Las Cruces, El Paso group we will meet at the gas station at I-10 and transmountain a 8am sharp, we will drive up straight to the comp site, Las Cruces group we will meet you at the comp site.

Good Morning To all here are the details for the State Comp.



We will be meeting at a Quick Pic Located at I-25 and University on saturday the 25th of June at 8am and drive up to the comp site in Soledad Canyon from there. It is a 15 minute drive. 4wd is not a necesity but good clearance is, there is a parking lot were we can drop the cars that wont make it in about 200 feet from the entrance so people can hitch a ride with someone else from there.



Bring plenty of water and sunscreen we will be in the 100 degree weather.



Comp Fee will be $20.00 dollars per participant.

Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.



Comp will be 3 courses, each course will contain 10 gates, bonus lines and tie breakers will be decide by everyone at the event.



A 4 fourth course will be put together for fun, the course will be open to everyone at the event wether you participate for state or not. The course will allow you to run with any rig but you will not be able to use dig. It will cost $10.00 to run this course and at the end of the day everyone that ran that course will be entered in a raffle for and axial xr-10 or an HPI blitz rtr. First place based on course score will get a trophy and their entry fee back.(if we dont have at least 15 people enter this cash prizes will be awarded instead of the kits)



All Paid entries will also get a comp souvenier, and get entered for a couple of other items being raffled after the comp.

had a great time yesterday kids had a blast (especially Jaden, winning the raffel) but we were wore out as soon as we got home and took showers we all crashed out for the night. i guess all the climbing up and down the mountian took its toll i know my foot still hurts and is swollen where i stepped on that thorn. anyways thanks Jorge for hosting an awesome and successful event hopefully next year will be as good up in Albuquerque. thanks also to the El Paso/Las Cruces chapter for all the help hosting the state finals it was fun
