| Well after this weekend at Speed World I have decided to put my 8 scale buggy on bed rest. So that brings me to why I am posting in the 1/10 Scale Electric Off Road section. Although I know that it is "crap" I have an old Duratrax Evader that I had picked up for the better half quite a few years back, and plan on sticking my electrics into it and join in with either the Novice class or possibly the stadium truck class. Now my question is what size motor would everyone recommend and potentially a cheap brand. The same better half is defiantly not going to allow me to buy a top of the line motor for this seeing as how I spent way over the approved budget getting my 8.2.
So if anyone knows or has some advice it's will defiantly be appreciated.
Will be using my Tekin RX8 as the ESC so according to the manual I should have no problem with motor limits and such, although I do want to go with a brushless.
Thanks for any input.

| my advice is to keep running the 1/8 scale! Practice and track time make for better driving, that's what I have done and I like it a whole lot more. Sorry to see an 1/8 scale driver leave and hope you come back | |

| Oh not leaving by any means. Just thinking that it may be a smarter move to get the driving time on something that will be safer for everyone around. Marshalls gotta watch out when that Red and Yellow buggy hits the track haha. But you may be right, maybe I'm over thinking it and should just dial it down and slowly increase till I can keep up.

| It will hurt to have one less 1:8 scale buggy out there. I actually enjoy my 1;8th at SW a lot. And people are getting faster. Chaparro is on to something - practice does help. I hope you change your mind, but overall, do what makes you happiest. | |

| Yea decided to stick it out. Was out there this past Saturday and was the only one there, so they put me in with the 4x4 SC. Had a good time, would rather have been with other buggies but ehh what ya gonna do. Next time I am down there I may see if you would be willing to run a few laps with my set up to offer any tips if you don't mind Gino.
I can say I did get everyone in attendance Saturdays attention when I went full speed into the rail road tie that makes up the pit area. Talk about a fairly loud thump haha.
Anyway see you all in a couple weeks and will once again be ready to ease my way around the track as I get a better feel for what in the world I am doing haha.

| Excellent, just want to make sure it's the driver and not something that I did wrong with the car while putting it together haha. | |
