Joey had decided to expand 1/10 buggy to Sportsman and Expert about 30 min before registry closing of week 3 point series kicking off due to the attendance in this class growing. We are like "Gumby" and will ALWAYS remain flexible in making this race program as BEST as we can for you the racer here at SpeedWORLD!
We have looked at it from all angles and have come to the decision to Carry ALL points from weeks 1-3 onto each points series sheets. In other words if you ran weeks 1 and 2, this class at that time was not sportsman/Expert skill specific your points. Your points will carry over to whatever (sportsman/expert) class in 2wd 1-10 buggy you register in IN THE REST OF THE pOINT SERIES (WEEKS 4-6). When you come to the rest of the point series races it is your decision, not ours in the class you carry on in. The reason why you will see duplicate values (number of points granted in the week 3 column) is because of the blend of SPORTSMAN and EXPERT class racers entered in week 3 of 1-10 Scale 2wd Buggy. I hope this makes sense to everyone.
I believe this is the fairest way. By looking at some of the names and knowing their skills Joey and I DID NOT want to assume what class you wanted to carry on through the remainder of the Points Series. Once the people make their decision on running EXPERT or SPORTSMAN, I will remove the respective people and the standings will be more clear.
The standings are as of week 1,2 and week 3 added up. The names highlighted in BLUE represent the current Leader, RED represent the current racer in Second place and YELLOW represents current racer in Third place. The first "Throwout" has come into effect as you can see by the spreadsheet. I think it is pretty straight forward. If you have any questions please ask.
PS: WEEK 3 entries in the above mentioned class, they were ALL 2WD. buggy/truck. As stated in the past, when the class grows we will adjust with the fairest intentions benefitting the MAJORITY. With that being said, from week 4 and beyond this class will be 2wd specific. If you want to race 4wd feel free to under 1-10 Scale 4WD BUGGY/TRUCK. But there must be enough cars to make it worthwhile. I believe Joey put a 5 car minimum to qualify as a a legitimate Points Series class.

I think along with a lot of others that raced this past race, have felt that the COMPETITION/TENSION/TEMPERS etc...have elevated. I witnesses some great racing and some bad decisions made as far as "FAIR" racing is concerned. It MUST be understood that WE ALL race R/C for our own reasons. Those reasons are our own but NOT ALL reasons are the same. One of the common reasons is to have FUN. This past race I don't think it was as much Fun as it could have been. A few (MAYBE A FEW MORE THAN A FEW)tempers flared up and you know who you are. Remember SPEED WORLD'S STANCE ON THIS PLEASE. WE AT SPEED WORLD WILL ALWAYS MAKE THE CALL ON FAIRNESS, HONESTY AND SPORTSMANSHIP. We CANNOT see EVERY SINGLE thing that may go wrong. We depend on EVERYONE to back us on these principles. This makes it acceptable when we miss something that your judgement is in alignment with these values and the RIGHT thing has the BEST opportunity to happen. It makes the track FUN, and FOLKS, this is really what we are doing this for aren't we? Thats it, in a nutshell. Please take a step back and try to make the right decision, usually it is the BEST....

Also, please note, that Although we ran NOVICE classes, they will be posted for everyone that raced NOVICE but ARE NOT included in the Point Series tally's.
ALWAYS REMEMBER! There are 6 rounds to this point series. Your BEST 3 scores (3 weeks) will be added up and your WORST 3 rounds (3 weeks) will be dropped ("thrown out") to come up with your point total. Additionally, the 6th round is your best two of three Amain race scores. Nothing is EVER over till the very end. The way this points series is calculated gives EVERYONE a fighting chance!!! I apologize not getting these results up a little quicker, I just want to ensure acuracy and it is a bit of work.........ughhhh
If you discover a discrepancy at anytime, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE feel free to contact SPEED WORLD via Private Message on Facebook or ElpasoRCforum. We will address all issues and come out with the FAIREST solution.
Again, I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT IN ATTENDING OUR TRACK HERE AT SPEED WORLD. YOUR attendance alone makes a HUGE difference and keeps this dream alive!
Sincerely,
-Ron
