ofna lx 1 .28 motor

hi

i want to know if OFNA buggies are any good, i recently came by to a guy who is selling two of them one is a lx1 the other one i don't know, but both are ofnas they are very cheap and even come with glow plug igniters and starter box they don't look too scraped in the bottom and look in very good shape, but the thing is that i don't know squat about nitro cars, are there any signs to look for ? i mean dry testing the motor to see if they have compression and that sort of stuff?

Are you planning on racing? The ofna is not a bad buggy for the price. If you plan on racing you want to look for a losi or associated (or mugen, serpent, kyosho). The ofna is not exactly race spec and also something with a smaller motor. .21 is what most of the guys use to limit fuel stops. In regards to checking compression, try Turing the flywheel. It should be pretty tight. Also try running the car for a minute. Then try restarting it. If you struggle to start the second time, the motor might need some attention in the near future. but... i went to this guy's place of business and told me he already sold them hahahaha damn they were very very cheap but maybe i will get a nitro buggy sometime, i am more inclined to the mechanical stuff
