| John was freaking smokin' it in 8th scale Electric buggy. I had nothing for him today. I need to reglue all those tires that were pulled off the rims from the first week of racing. I was stuck with the stock Losi tires for this race. Either way, I don't think tires would've helped me catch John.
In truggy my pinion cam off in the main and my 4x4 SC had lost all center diff fluid. My 2WD was hooked though. THe new Losi 22SCT is a super car. ANyhow, I really had fun and I'm planning to do it all again this Sat!! Can't wait. | |

| Sorry it took me so long to reply to this. Really the answer to this is pretty simple. Anything by Proline/HB/AKA is working at Speedworld. I actually called up the tech dept at AKA and they told me that for clay you can run a clay specific tire or go with a SOFT to MEDIUM compound; not Super Soft. The problem is; most of us do not have clay tires or do not wish to to spend more than we have to on tires. I've been running soft compound tires and here is a list of tires I've had a lot of success with.
All tires should be run in soft or clay compound. Super soft will work, but may wear quickly.
AKA - Something with a small short spike. As track smooths out more and more, wishbones may be the key.
8th scale:
Impacts/Enduros/Gridirons
SC 4x4:
City Blocks/Enduros/Gridirons
SC 2x4 rear:
City blocks/Enduros/Gridirons
Truggy:
Evo City Block/Evo Gridirons/Evo impact/Gridirons/Cityblocks
Proline: Run M3 or Clay compound
8th Scale buggy:
Holeshot/Tazers/Blockade/Caliber/Snipers/suburbs if track is smooth (clay Version)
SC 4x4:
Fuzzie/Tazer/Hole Shots/Blockade/Calibers/Snipers - M3 compounds
SC2x4 Front:
Carvers are AWSOME/Slicers
SC2x4 Rear - SEE SC 4x4 -
Truggy - most of the same names in the SC 4x4 will work for truggy too. Revolver VTR's are nice in M# compound

| Yeah, I have been running Enduros on everything. I have them now for my 1/8 buggy as well. Hope to have that thing ready to run soon.
I do have some AKA City Blocks and Gridirons for my 4wd SC that I want to try sometime when I can make it to a play day.
Thanks for the input. | |
