| We took a trip to Vegas this past week so I decided to stop by The Vegas RC Raceway. I was able to take a few moments and speak to the owner. He was a nice guy full of knowledge and also has his own local RC radio show!!!
The track was a tight indoor track (smaller than my backyard track) with 100% clay surface. He said he spent over $50,000 just for the clay alone!!! He had it shipped in from Pennsylvania to Vegas. That blew my mind, and goes to show they really spare no expense in Vegas. I always knew we had to have the best material to build our track and now I feel a little better knowing I only spent a few thousand dollars for our surface.

| I hope you had a great trip! I lived there for 20yrs.. Your comment about the track prep reminded me about things I worked with in the past and proposed a question.. Has Anyone thought about using a soil dust control agent on tracks for that "crust layer" stability? I remember it created an almost lil sticky somewhat good crust on the site... dust control links | |
