| Yesterday at the S.W.R.R.C. meeting Alfonso aka Poncho Ponch told me about an APP the is free for Android phones not sure on the iPhone (sorry Jorge Hahaha) its called "Scale Point Calculator" and it scores your rig before you start the course. So let's say you have a scaler and you use the calculator as i did on my rig for example my Jeep JK scored -49 points so depending on the course and number of gates it will be discussed before the comp but you will be awarded 50% and up of your scale points before you even start the course. As you can see it pays off to tinker and make your rig as scale as possible. The time and creativity put into your rig will not go un-rewarded.
Now with that being said there is a limit to how many scale points you are awarded, so if you build like 20 propane tanks and stuff them into your rig you will only get -6 max points as the tanks are an exterior item examples like mirrors, windshield wippers, gas cans, hi lift jack. Now like a working winch, sand ladders, tow straps ect. There is a total of -8 points for functional items. These items are scored -1 point per item till you max out on the items.
So if you are interested in scale crawlers I do recommend this app
Thanks Ponch this app is great | |

| That is great info, pretty good to have before detailing the Scaler. Would like a copy whenever we meet or if you can send via e-mail or PM the better. It is great info to share with all new interested on this hobby. Great research guys!! By the way, Eric jr just told me that in his I-POD he downloaded a free App from the Apple Store, it is called Radio Controlled Rock Crawling AKA RCRC. With this one may keep track of your radio controlled Rock Crawling Score, set your own point values, customizable timer. There will be future updates for scale scores available. It is just a matter of getting it downloaded from the Apple App Store. So Jorge may be in luck !!! | |

| Thanks Bobby for posting about the app. So far it hasn't been made for an iPhone. I'll keep u guys who are stuck with an iPhone posted if it ever gets made for it. @Eric that app that jr found is also a great app. That App is for comp rigs. I will be using this app this season. This app now works for the iPhone/ iPad. So maybe Jorge will use it too | |

| Who would imagine that a few years ago, being in the middle of nowhere logging scores without pencil nor papers. We may save some trees during the Comps... | |
