I'm coming there to work from Dallas and need to find places to race can someone help me? I'm running Losi scte

may interest you as they are an indoor track. AC in the summer, heater in the winter. Race days every Wednesday and Saturday. Plus track is open monday thru saturday for practice. Hope to see you there.

Welcome Bruce! Always glad to see new faces. Here is the scoop...

There are two great tracks to race, and I hope you decided to run at both tracks. THe first track is Hal's Hobby Raceway. Located on the east side of town off Bessemer St. THis track is a native dirt track and offers a great place to run everything from your 1:10th scale SCTE to 1:8th scale buggies and truggies. Hal's schedule is every other Saturday night; racing starting at 5pm with set up at around 2pm. Racing can and usually goes well into the night. The next race is on the 15th.

Your other choice is Speed World. An indoor clay based track located at 480 Talbot on the west side. Speed World is currently running Wednesday nights from 7 til around 9:30or 10pm. On Wed nights you can run any of these classes:
1) 2WD Buggy 10th scale
2) 4x4 Buggy 10th scale
3) 2wd SCT open (no motor limit)
4) 2wd SCT 17.5 BLINKY
5) 4x4 SCT

Although these are most of the classes; they are usually broken down further into novice, sportsman, or expert (open motor) classes.

On Wed night the doors open at around 330-4pm.

Speed World is also open for practice most days during the week, but I'm not totally sure of the times.

Every Sat. Speed World hosts open club racing and they will usually accommodate any car you bring.

If these dates will not work for you, be sure to let the staff at Speed World know because they're currently working on alternative days like a Sunday race as well, and if enough interest is generated SPeed World will host Sunday club racing as well.

Thanks guys I can't wait to get there and I plan on making it to both places to trace but which track normally has more people show up?

I think both tracks probably have had about the same number of 4x4 entries, SpeedWorld has had more people on Wednesday than Saturday night the last couple of weeks.

That's a jaded question. The track you show up to is the best track. hahaha.

It's simple to offer biased opinions, but both are great tracks, and I hope to see you equally at both. Tonight is a club race at Speed World where you can sometimes find close to 50+ people, and there is another club race this Saturday at Speed World as well. Next Saturday is Hal's where there can be many racers too, so my recommendation it for you to visit both.
