| Does anyone have any experience with XRAY vehicles? I am looking at getting the XB808E. I know the parts might be hard to come by locally, but it looks like an awsome buggy. My other option I'm looking at is the RC8.2e. | |

| RTAMO86 has a few X-rays and swears by them. Most of the guys run losi's or associated just because parts are cheaper and easier to get. I don't think you can go wrong with a Mugen, X-ray, or Serpent. Just make sure you check out rctech to see what guys break and stock up on those parts. | |

| My friend has the Durango DEX 408 now thats one sweet ride. If I didnt already invest in 4s reedy batteries I would ditch my rc8be and get a 408. | |

| Yeah I would have gone with the Durango too if I didn't already pick up my rc8.2e. The Durango chassis layout was made for it to be electric. As for Xray I love them but there 8th buggies are not too great. If you want to know what's good just check out what the pros are running. | |

| Worst advice ever to look at what the "Pros" are running. A good driver and setup man can make anything fast. Pros drive what ever company offers them the best deal.
I recommend picking something from one the top manufacturers and sticking with that brand. See what the local fast guys are running so you can pick their brain. Practice and lean how the different changes affect your vehicle and this will make you faster in the long run.
But if you want the best and money is no option. Kyosho is the way to go.

| In my opinion, the MUGEN MBX-6 ECO is the way to go. Mugen products place at more big events by privateer racers than any other brand. Mugen doesn't spend a ton of money on big name racers to go out and run their product. The product speaks for itself.
Looking at what top racers run and win with is not a good way to pick a kit. The big name guys and companies know that many people will do exactly that so they dump tons of money into making sure their products win.
Look on rctech.net - and check out threads for different cars. Read up and study on the different kits before making a decision.

| I didn't mean go by who ever is the best driver I'm saying look at what most pros drive because those are the most up to date buggies. If you don want to look at wha the pros are driving then look at the arma buggy or duratrax or even the low end ofna ultra buggy. In the end if you want the best you still have to look what buggies are in the worlds because you will never see a low end buggy there. | |

| Xray makes great cars. All of them are top quality. One thing i remember reading a out the 808e was that the input bearings go bad. Wait for the xb9e if you can. I personally run the serpent ebuggy and it rocks. All of them are good in the right hands. Losi. Mugen. Asc. Serpent. Kyosho all of them are excellent well made fast buggies that can win any race. But i would avoid the 808e and get one of the other buggies | |

| heres my point about the durango DEX408 the layout on the chassis was made just for it and not just a conversion from a nitro. the thing i like about it is that you can use 2 2s packs in it and not have to go out and get a 4s pack so it keeps the cg low and you can also use the batteries in a 1/10th scale too. you can use 2 2s packs in most other e buggies but the dex408 has them laying flat and other buggies you have to stand them on there sides. i got the rc8.2e because im a die hard ae fan but its not a layout just for electric its just a conversion from a nitro and thats the thing that im not a huge fan of. the losi 8ight e is also a very nice buggy because the chassis layout is also made just for a ebuggy. i dont know much about the serpent kyosho or mugen buggies but they are all worth looking at. | |

| The serpent is also designed to run two 2s batteries laying flat on the chassis for a low cg. Its the main i bought one. The durango is amazing to look at though. Not really sure how it drives though cuz i have never seen one on track. | |
