| I need some help with knowing more about batteries, I have been using lipo power but not really taking much into the set up. of course taking care of the Lipo batteries with their balancing and following a whole bunch of recommendations and I use 4000mah with 20C continuous this to avoid having too much power running and frying ESC's. I am evolving little by little and now I am almost ready for the final big burst of cash to buy batteries for my rigs rides or babies whatever you want to call them. Found this but the amps on them are incredibly up in my opinion. https://www.batterygiantracing.com/it was featured somewhere on forums etc while I was looking for information on other things. I am looking for a couple of mamba max pro esc's or 1 and 1 mamba max ESC these are part of the last components on my electrics. | |

| There are several great brands to choose from and most all will offer fantastic performance. Most significant considerations will be the mAh rating (more mAh=longer run time & longer constant power output) and the "C" rating (higher C rating provides more of the batteries power at a faster rate). Anything above 35-40C rating works very well with stock type motors and has a noticable effect on performance. For Modified motors the "C" rating isn't as noticable. A batteries "IR" rate has one of the largest effects on performance charge/discharge abilities. I prefer Murfdogg Supercharger Batteries, but as I mentioned there are several great brands available to meet your needs. Hope this is helpfull. | |

| This is a jaded question. I have 2 pieces of advice; look at what the winners are using. If you race often; look at what the people who are always running at the front are using.
Second: Batteries can be deceiving. A rating of 150C burst does not necessarily mean you'll get that every time. Some batteries claim high C's but at what Amperage? And how long? Is it 150C for 5 seconds @ 175A, and then drops to 60C @ 200A for 2 seconds. This is just an example of what some battery manufacturers will pull. I use Racers Edge Race packs. They are a hard cased battery and have given me zero problems. Price usually means a lot in electronics. You pay for what you get, but just be aware of Amperage and MaH. Select a known ROAR approved brand that top racers use.

| Thanks everyone for their wise words. So far, I have been investigating and learning a ton. I love how the learning never ends on the hobby. I have been into the electric math lately there are formulas and a bunch of theories into it. Also, will be doing major maintenance on one car at a time. This points series I will have 2 or 3 classes to the max and if I get a sponsorship for the race fees I will take it to 5 or 6 if they all go popular.
And on other issue, Has anyone seen the TEKNO EB48 ??? It is already on amainhobbies.com for pre-order I had read about its release being in months but it only took weeks, apparently. I want to get me one of those.

| Has been a long time since I posted here.
Just curious, would anybody take a guess on how much would be a good cash offer for all of my RC stuff?

| The TEKNO EB48 looks to be a great racing platform and is doing well at the race venues it has entered. Would check the parts and setup support, to ensure assistance is readily available if/when needed. | |

| What's up Burks? How are things my friend? I hope all is well with you and yours.
I sure do miss the competitiveness you brought out to the tracks. It seems that wherever you went people followed. You're sure missed.
