Hal's On-Road Racing

Hal’s will be holding on-road racing this Saturday, 8/27 at 11am.

We have adjusted the track in order to allow for pitting/set-up at the top portion of the track. (Bring a long extension cord) A small boundary line has been created in order to split the track from the pits because of this the race track is slightly smaller than usual. Due to the track being smaller we will not being running 8th scale on-road vehicles, YET! The track will be run using the same system used on the off-road track.

Below are the classes we will be running and the requirements for each class.

 10th Scale Sedans Electric: 10.5 motors, rubber tires, and no wedge bodies.
 10th Scale Sedans Nitro: rubber tires and no wedge bodies.
 12th Scale Pan Cars: Foams will be allowed for this class.
 16th Scale Vehicles: Rally cars and off-road vehicles (e-revo) will be in separate classes. Brushed and Brushless will be separated also. No series connections. Parallel only! 6 cell nimh.
 18th Scale Vehicles: anything goes.
 Heinz 57: Monster trucks, etc.
 Will create other classes if need be also. If you want to run your short course you can!!!

The races will consist of 2 heats and 1 main. Each heat will be 5 mins long and the mains will be 5-10 mins, depending on class. The 10th scale class will be limited to 6-8 cars in a race, due to the size of the track, 12th scale and smaller will hold the normal 10 cars a race.

We are going to use the off-Saturdays that we do not run off-road races. This will follow the same 2 week schedule. Below are the race dates for the remainder of the year.

If we have enough racers by Oct 8th we at Hal’s would like to hold a Point Series. It will follow the same format as the Hal’s Summer Point Series. The dates will be the remaining 6 races of the year. The point’s distribution will be adjusted slightly for this series. More info will be introduced as the date gets closer. We hope to see everyone there!!!

Have you also thought of maybe doing some drifting? Might get a few other folks out.

I'm a sucker for on-road.. I bought a TC. Now lets see how the wife reacts when I tell her I'm racing Saturday. Prob only be able to be there from 10:30 to 12:30...

Like the early start as the season begins to cool off. Hope to have a car ready, weather its a borrowed one or maybe a new one, if I can have it built in time. Hopefully we can continue to take advantage of the # of heats, like the guys have been afforded in the past. I understand attendance will govern and look forward to trying some onroad racing.
